PIZZA CRAVINGS SATISFIED BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!!! I was so excited to try this place and they def did not let me down. the fried risotto balls app was really yummy, def an experience to try! I loved the tomato sauce for it. the bucatini amatriciana was also really good. the sauce was perfectly flavorful and the pasta texture was the ideal firm and chewy al dente. star of the show had to be the pizza. the ray j was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I love a good thin crust so we got it NY style. holy moly that pizza crust was almost life changing. it's light and airy and upon biting down on it, the crust flattened and became so easy to devour. usually I'm pretty picky and won't eat my crust but I left no crumbs that night. the pizza was so cheesy, wish I had gotten a photo of the insane cheese pull but I couldn't wait-had to stuff my face with it as soon as I witnessed it. the flavor profiles from the salty pepperoni and sweet honey complemented so well together. wished there was a bit more basil. I would say eat it quick because we did notice the middle became a little soggy from all the cheese and sauces after a couple minutes. it was a pretty heavy, oily slice so we couldn't eat too much of it, but regardless it was such a delectable experience. I also want to shoutout the staff working for taking care of us so well and being so friendly. we came a couple minutes before last call and they were still more than happy to take us. we also took our time eating not realizing that we were there so late and ended up being the last customers while they were cleaning up but they were extremely kind and patient, didn't give us any attitude or take offense to it. they even had a conversation with us on our way out. nice interior, well lit, and great modern clean design. the vibes were so good. there was a good amount of people on a Friday night with chatter but not too loud. it was a really chill, peaceful dinner experience. would be great for a date night. I would def recommend this spot and can't wait to go back to try their other pastas and pizzas from their large menu options. I love that you can choose the type of pizza style you can get. even though NY style has always been my favorite type, I heard their detroit style is also really good so would be open to trying that next time! their drinks also sounded good and kind of wishing I got one to try. this meal was pretty reasonably priced and definitely so worth!!

I had to try this award-winning pizza place. The interior is very cool, 2 stories, cool colored decor. The service was prompt and the server provided good guidance about what we should order (salad size, pizza type, etc.). We split a Caesar Salad. The server was correct - it was huge! Salad was tossed well, and loved the finely shredded Parmesan on top. The focaccia croutons were tasty, but kinda big to eat. Had to cut them up. We thought we should order what Laura is known for, so we got a New York style 18" La Regina pizza. The pizza wasn't to our liking, but that was just our preference. It was done very well though - great crust, nice toppings (a bit salty for us though). The prosciutto kept getting pulled off when we bit, so that was a bit annoying. But great taste though. It was a good experience, but we will have to return to try another pizza.

My friend and I recently dined at this restaurant, eager to indulge in some authentic New York-style pizza. We ordered the 18" La Regina, which is designed to serve 4-5, and we thoroughly enjoyed every slice--clearly, we couldn't resist devouring the entire pie. The service was exemplary; our waiter was attentive and regularly checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. The ambiance of the restaurant contributed to our experience, with its spacious layout and our pleasant window-side seating. Overall, a delightful outing for pizza lovers!

I don't yelp often (or ever), but I would be remiss if I didn't share just how amazing this pizza is. I am always on the lookout for quality NY style pizza, and this is quite possibly the best I've had. Well done, Pizzeria da Laura!

Being a Michigan native, I'm always on the hunt to find a great Detroit style pie. Many of my friends recommended Pizzeria Da Laura and I'm happy they did. The crust, toppings, everything on my mushroom pie reminded me of the Famous Detroit pizza shop back at home. A solid deep dish pizza! Next time, I ll have to check out the grandma style version.

SERVICE - located on shattuck avenue near other shops and restaurants - parking lots located nearby - recommended to make a reservation - good for large groups - pizza slice window next door - plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - servers are very friendly and helpful MENU - wide selection of pizzas, pastas, and appetizers - vegan menu available - well priced ($15 per person) FOOD - vegan Sicilian style callie girl (8/10): vegan cheese, spinach, olives, peppers, and pesto drizzle on a fluffy focaccia like crust. This pizza is huge and can easily serve 4-5 people. I really liked how there was an even distribution of the toppings and no slice was empty. The saltiness of the olives paired well with the tangy pesto and pickled flavor of the peppers, all on top of a creamy yet not overwhelming cheese layer. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! It is a great spot for large groups and has something to cater to everyone's preferences.

OMG! This is the best Pizza ever!! I live in Modesto and have been there 4 times since it opened. I wish I could go more often. I wish we had one here in Modesto. Staff is friendly, food is exquisite! It has got to be the best thing that happened to Berkeley. Conveniently located across from BART, just down the street from the College, and parking garages are only a block.

I only had the pizza by the slice. Flavor, crust texture and pepperoni was delicious. I also loved the veggie pizza with zucchini and onions. This was very affordable with $6/slice and very large slices. They also have option of dine in with all different styles (like Detroit etc) and gourmet pizzas. Focaccia was good but not amazing.
